The Asia Pacific Energy Award was awarded to a company operating in the Asia Pacific energy industry that has excelled in terms of commercial or technical innovation.

Innovation – through technical or commercial innovation, the organisation has made a positive change to the industry in the Asia Pacific region.

Activities – through activities, the organisation has made an outstanding contribution to the industry and shown itself to be an industry leader in any specific part of the LNG chain in the Asia Pacific region.

Knowledge – through development of people, the organisation that has expanded knowledge and learning within commercial or technical aspects of the energy industry in the Asia Pacific region.

The winner of the Asia Pacific LNG & Gas Award 2022 was Venture Global LNG, for having secured the first FID in the US since August 2019 with their Plaquemines project. They have successfully signed up buyers ranging from European utilities to leading Asian players such as Sinopec and Petronas.
